National Association of ADA Coordinators
Professionals Making The Americans With Disabilities Act Work

The National Association of ADA Coordinators (NAADAC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1992 by a group of public and private sector professionals, who saw a need to educate entities regarding both the requirements and the opportunities of the ADA. In a few short years, the Association has become the leader in providing effective and economical conferences and workshops for ADA Coordinators employed by both public and private employers.

The Fall 2009 National ADA Conference is to be held in Del Mar (suburb of San Diego), California - October 19-23, 2009. The first four days, October 19-22 of the conference are devoted only to ADA issues in four ADA tracks – Accessibility, Employment, Higher Education, and Transportation/Transit. See details on program agenda, faculty, and registration.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will be presenting the latest on the ADAAA, Civil Rights Enforcement, and Accessibility considerations in six general sessions.

On Friday, October 23, there will be added two tracks on California laws’ interplay with the ADA.  The first added track covers CALIFORNIA’S FAIR EMPLOYMENT AND HOUSING ACT (FEHA)/ WORKERS’ COMPENSATION/ADA INTERPLAY.  This is designed for employers who need to understand the critical relationship between saving money and return-to-work (RTW) programs and the processes involved.  The second track covers the CERTIFIED ACCESS SPECIALIST PROGRAM (CASp).  Track explains and demonstrates what is required to comply with the new licensing requirements for architects.  Information on California’s accessibility statutes and looking at ADA’s unique interplay will be presented.
