Project RSVP, also known as the Referral System for Vocational Rehabilitation Providers Project, is an initiative by the Social Security Administration (SSA) to expand vocational rehabilitation (VR) services to SSA beneficiaries by enabling both public and private VR providers to participate in this program. Under this project, providers are known as "alternate participants," or APs. The term alternate participant identifies and distinguishes individuals, businesses, agencies, and organizations that have contracted with SSA to deliver VR services from State vocational rehabilitation agencies.
