Kim has been with JAN since 1984. She began working as a Small Business
and Self-Employment (SBSES) consultant in 1999.
Kim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan
and a Masters degree in Education from West Virginia University. She
is currently a doctoral candidate at West Virginia University in social
geography focusing on issues of gender, disability, microenterprise
development, home-based work, and the impact of technological changes
on work experiences. Her dissertation is entitled, The Emerging
Geographies of Work and Identity: Exploring Self-Employment Strategies
and Work Subjectivities of Women with Chronic Illness.
Kim is a member of the Small Business and Self-Employment Service
team. She is responsible for providing people with disabilities information
on starting their own businesses.
Kim is interested in programs that promote girls involvement
in science and technology.
