Tracie started with JAN as a graduate assistant in 1994 and became
a JAN Consultant in 1995. As a JAN Consultant, she provides accommodation
solutions and ADA compliance assistance to employers, individuals
with disabilities, and service providers, has presented at more than
fifty national, state, and local conferences and employer sponsored
trainings, and has written numerous documents regarding accommodations
and the ADA.
Tracie has a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling
and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from West Virginia University.
Tracie is a member of JAN's Sensory team, specializing in accommodation
solutions for individuals with sensory, immunology, and endocrinology
related limitations, such as hearing impairment, chemical sensitivity,
respiratory impairment, AIDS/HIV, and diabetes.
Tracie has served as an instructor for West Virginia Universitys
Rehabilitation Counseling Graduate Program and WVU's Graduate Certificate
Program in Vocational Evaluation and Job Accommodation, as well as
Virginia Commonwealth University's RRTC on Workplace Supports Web
course.
Tracie presents throughout the United States and enjoys discussing
the legal aspects of the interactive accommodation process, including
the interplay of the ADA with other workplace statutes such as the
Family and Medical Leave Act.
Tracie also serves as the Chair of the Training Coordination Committee
for JANs annual national Conference.
